A Strong Community

Our school has long had a strong body of international students. Students from many different parts of the world, from Albania to China, have thrived at our school over the years, at times making up 10-20% of the student body. They are an important part of our community, inside and outside the classroom, organizing cultural events such as Lunar New Year celebrations and participating in clubs.

We welcome and encourage international applicants from all countries. Our school community has a handful of families who may be able to host international students, and our school's location in Ann Arbor offers deep cultural experiences and access to the University of Michigan.

We offer an English Language Learning class to support our international and exchange students in developing and strengthening their English skills. Our international students have consistently been highly successful applying to and attending college in the United States.

Contact our High School Administrative Coordinator Katie Simon (ksimon@steinerschool.org; 734-669-9394) for more information about being an International Student at our school.

"Homestays" for US Waldorf Students

Has your child thrived in their Waldorf education through 8th grade?  Do you not have a Waldorf high school at a reasonable distance from your home? We are pleased to offer an opportunity to continue your child's Waldorf education beyond Grade 8. Our “homestay” program allows students from other parts of the country to stay with a family in our school during the academic year.

Reach out to admissions@steinerschool.org for more information about this amazing opportunity!
