We realize some family schedules require the need for a later pickup of their student. Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor offers after-school options to help busy families.
Lower School Aftercare Program
Our Aftercare Program is available at the Lower School from 3:15 pm for Early Childhood and from 3:30 pm for Grades 1-8. Aftercare closes at 5 pm. The Aftercare program is more relaxed than the school day and much of the time will be spent outside, weather permitting.
We ask parents to register their students in advance, up until 24 hours prior to care, by filling out an advanced-registration form. Advanced-registration Aftercare forms are available through families ParentSquare accounts.
Hours: 3:15-5 pm for Early Childhood and 3:30-5 pm for Grades 1-8
Contact: Nicole Cunningham, Aftercare Director
Fees: $8.50 per hour/per family with 24-hour notice
The first hour, no matter the length of time spent in aftercare, will be charged as a full hour. After this, families are billed by the quarter-hour.
A late fee of $1.00/minute will be charged after 5:05 pm.
The high school building will be open and supervised until 5:30 pm daily. HS students are welcome to stay during that time to work on homework, read or study quietly, practice instruments or attend school extracurricular clubs or events. Students are expected to be generally quiet and focused on their activities. If individual students cannot meet the expectations for this time, they will be asked to leave the school building by 3:30 pm.
