Bio 
Calisa has been a class teacher at the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor since 2002. Before entering the world of education, she worked on an Organizational Learning and Lean Manufacturing internal consulting team at Ford Motor Company. Her experience in industry inspired a search for an educational approach that fosters systems thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

In 1999, during her Montessori teacher training, Calisa rediscovered Waldorf education and felt called to make the transition. After completing her Montessori certification, she went on to complete Waldorf teacher training through the Waldorf Institute of Southeast Michigan. Calisa brings a unique blend of analytical insight and creative energy to her classroom. Outside of teaching, she enjoys backpacking and traveling the world.
