Bio
Angelica Hangartner-Perry is the Lead Teacher for the Golden Eagles program and also provides reading support for students in grades 1 through 5 at the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor. Before entering the field of education, Angelica worked as a nurse’s aide and pastry chef, later volunteering on biodynamic farms where she encountered the work of Rudolf Steiner. This sparked her interest in Waldorf education and led her to pursue teacher training in Ann Arbor. Since joining RSSAA in the 2015–16 school year, she has continued to deepen her expertise in early literacy, completing Level 1 certification through Brainspring.

Angelica brings warmth, energy, and a practical love of life to her work with young children. Inspired by the holistic and soulful nature of Waldorf education, she sees her teaching as a way to help cultivate compassionate, capable individuals who will serve their communities with heart and purpose. When not in the classroom, Angelica loves being outdoors—gardening, swimming, practicing yoga, hiking, biking, or dancing her way through the seasons.
