Bio 
Anne Birney has worked with children and families for over twenty years in a variety of roles, including daycare provider, nanny, and program manager for a CMH-funded program supporting children with autism spectrum disorders and their families. She joined Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor in 2015 and now serves as an early childhood lead teacher. She holds a B.S. in Education from the University of Oregon and completed her Waldorf teacher training through both the Eugene Waldorf School and WISM.

Anne teaches to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families. She was drawn to Waldorf education for its spiritual foundation and its commitment to educating the whole child in a developmentally appropriate way. Outside of school, Anne enjoys sewing, crafting, reading, and traveling. She is also a proud parent of two daughters who attend RSSAA.
