Bio 
Tamara Schirmer serves as the Middle School Math Specialist at Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor. Before joining RSSAA, she taught high school mathematics at Dexter High School and Pioneer High School. Her teaching journey paused when her family relocated—first to Washington, D.C., and then to Hiroshima, Japan. Upon returning to Ann Arbor, she discovered RSSAA, and the timing and opportunity to teach there aligned perfectly.

Tamara brings a depth of knowledge and passion for mathematics to her students, and she values the chance to grow and learn alongside them. She appreciates the thoughtful, developmental approach to education at RSSAA and is excited to be part of a school community that fosters curiosity, connection, and a love of learning.
