Bio 
Rachel Hackman joined Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor in August 2024 as the German teacher. Prior to RSSAA, she taught German for two years at Carlisle High School in Pennsylvania and completed additional language certification at the Humboldt-Institut in Germany. She brings both classroom experience and firsthand cultural immersion to her teaching.

Rachel teaches to share her deep love of language and culture, and to help young people expand their understanding and acceptance of others. She values the role of language education in building empathy and global awareness. Outside the classroom, Rachel enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
