Bio
Megan Rotko (she/her) serves as the Lower School Pedagogical Coordinator at RSSAA. She brings a rich background in Waldorf education, having previously taught at both the Chicago Waldorf School and Urban Prairie Waldorf School. In addition to teaching Spanish and yoga in Chicago, she has taught English as a Second Language in Chiapas, Mexico. Megan has completed training in Cognitive-Based Compassion Training through the Emory–Tibet Partnership, Social, Emotional, Ethical Learning through Emory University, and Waldorf Mentor Training at the Center for Anthroposophy.

Megan was drawn to Waldorf education for its recognition of spiritual development as fundamental to cultivating the full range of human capacities. She finds deep purpose in the inner striving Waldorf education calls for—a path that harmonizes the freedom of thought, the heart’s impulse to care, and the will to act meaningfully in the world. Outside of school, she enjoys time with her daughter and her dog, along with traveling, gardening, practicing yoga, and contemplating dharma.
