Bio
Trina Lacey is a class teacher at Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor and will be guiding the rising second grade class. She has taught in a range of educational settings from early childhood through high school, including roles as a Language Arts teacher in New York City public schools and as a class teacher at Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School. Her professional experience also includes work as a curriculum developer, writer, and editor. Trina completed her Waldorf teacher training in 2019 and holds additional training in Restorative Practices, compassionate communication, and social-emotional learning.
Trina first joined RSSAA from 2015 to 2017, returning in 2022 as a Parent-Child assistant and later serving as Middle School collaborative teacher before stepping into her current class teacher role. She finds teaching to be the most dynamic and human of professions, and values the depth of Waldorf education in nurturing the whole child. Trina enjoys hiking, road trips with her family, running, reading, writing, and practicing yoga.
