Bio
Andrea Sula Fonte Basso has been part of the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor community since 2011, where she serves as the school’s Librarian. Originally trained as an Occupational Therapist in Brazil, Andrea pursued post-certifications in Physiology, Biomechanics, Traumatism, and Rehabilitation. In the United States, she expanded her healing work by becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Certified Self-Healing BodyWork Teacher. She brings a unique holistic perspective to her role in the library, encouraging growth and imagination through literature.
Andrea was first introduced to Waldorf Education in 1986 while living in Germany. In 2004, she and her family became part of Waldorf communities in Brazil and later in the U.S. Working in the school library allows Andrea to nurture children's curiosity and development through reading, while also continuing to deepen her own language and cultural understanding. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, running, gardening, teaching, and traveling.
