Bio 
David Van Eck is the Woodworking Teacher at RSSAA. He brings a unique combination of experience to his teaching, having spent 20 years in information technology followed by another 20 years as a neuromuscular specialist with a focus on pain management. He completed his Waldorf high school teacher training in 2000 and played a foundational role in the school, designing and delivering the high school’s original technology curriculum during its first four years.

As a fourth-generation woodworker, David is passionate about passing on the skills and joy of working with one's hands. He hopes to inspire in students the same love for woodworking that his father once shared with him. Outside of teaching, David enjoys time on his hobby farm and has a wide range of interests that keep him engaged and learning.
