Bio 
Eva Ackermann teaches German in the Lower School at Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor. A native of Bavaria in Southern Germany, she has taught German since 2001 across a variety of educational settings and age groups, including recent roles at the German School of Ann Arbor and with Ann Arbor Public Schools as an instructional assistant for English language learners. She holds a Master’s in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Vienna and an M.Ed. in Bilingual/Bicultural Education from DePaul University. She joined the High School faculty in 2019 and began teaching in the Lower School in 2021.

Eva is passionate about sharing her native language and culture and helping students cultivate both practical communication skills and intercultural understanding. She values Waldorf education for its holistic and developmentally grounded approach to learning. Eva is currently deepening her training through the Understanding Deeper Developmental Needs course and participates regularly in professional development, including Waldorf and Goethe-Institute workshops. Outside of teaching, Eva enjoys reading, knitting, traveling, and long walks.
