Bio
Stephanie Dalgleish is the Director of Instrumental Music at the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor, overseeing the instrumental music program for students in grades 3–12 and teaching strings and winds in grades 5–12. This is her first year at RSSAA, and she is excited to contribute to the school’s vibrant and creative community. Originally from Lapeer, Michigan, Stephanie developed a strong musical foundation through participation in concert band, jazz band, district honor bands, and community band. She also performed with the Eastern Michigan University Honor Band and attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp for two consecutive summers during high school.
Stephanie earned her degree in Music Education from Western Michigan University, completing her student teaching internship at Lake Michigan Catholic Schools in Saint Joseph, Michigan. Over the past eight years, she has built a successful career as a music educator, receiving recognition as McKee Middle School’s “Teacher of the Year” in 2020 and the Kern County “Music Educator of the Year” in 2024. She is drawn to Waldorf education for its holistic, developmentally responsive approach to teaching and learning. Outside of school, Stephanie enjoys showing dogs, horseback riding, and photography. She is passionate about inspiring young musicians and fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where students can grow both musically and personally.
