Leadership. Creativity. Community.

Mosaic by Class of 2013

Our high school extracurricular program empowers students to explore new interests, deepen passions, and connect with peers—building confidence, leadership, and a strong sense of belonging.

With intentionally flexible scheduling, students can fully participate in both athletics and clubs—because we believe you shouldn’t have to choose between your passions.

At RSHS, you don’t have to choose between your interests. You can play sports, join clubs, take on leadership roles, and discover new passions—all while being part of a supportive community.

Student Clubs

Students take the lead in our extracurricular program. With faculty support, clubs are created, shaped, and driven by student passion.

This is your chance to try something new, dive deeper into what you love, and collaborate with peers who share your interests.

Model UN

Represent countries at the Mid-American Model UN Conference. Build skills in research, negotiation, and public speaking.

Robotics Team

Design, build, and program robots for regional competitions. Hands-on STEM learning through teamwork and problem-solving.

Yearbook

Capture the story of the school year through photography, writing, and design—fully student-produced.

Drama Club

Act, direct, design, or manage our annual fall play or musical—no experience necessary.

Gardening & Beekeeping

Learn sustainability and environmental stewardship while caring for campus gardens and beehives.

Hiking Club

Explore the outdoors on backpacking trips while learning wilderness skills and mentoring younger students.

Film Club

Hands-on filmmaking from screenwriting to directing, editing, and visual effects.

Clubs gave us the freedom to pursue what matters, collaborate with our peers, and turn our ideas into something meaningful for the whole school.

Start Something New

Have an idea for a club that doesn’t exist yet? Start it! The above clubs are offered annually, but students are encouraged to create new clubs and affinity groups—keeping our extracurricular scene ever-evolving and student-driven.

Be a Part of the Team

Our inclusive varsity athletics program welcomes all high school students—no try outs required. With strong coaching, teamwork, strategy, and sportsmanship, students develop as athletes and teammates in a spirited, supportive environment.

Thoughtful scheduling avoids overlap with club times, so you can pursue both athletics and extracurricular passions. At RSHS, you really can do it all.

Study Abroad

Our student exchange program gives students the opportunity to step into a new culture, sharpen language skills, and experience high school in another part of the world. It’s a true one-to-one exchange: your exchange partner lives with your family, and then you live with theirs—at no extra cost for tuition or room and board.

Students return more confident, independent, and enriched by friendships, perspectives, and unforgettable experiences. Many say it’s the most meaningful experience of their high school journey.

Take the first step toward an education that goes beyond the classroom.

Part of a Larger Community

Extracurriculars don’t exist in isolation—they are part of a vibrant, inclusive school community that brings students, families, and faculty together across grade levels. From student leadership and athletics to festivals and all-school gatherings, community life at RSSAA supports connection, belonging, and shared purpose.
