Our Toddler Program is created specifically for children eighteen months to three years of age. This Waldorf program is designed by our Early Childhood Faculty with a daily rhythm that encourages joy and wonder.
A small classroom of eight allows the children to engage with peers and create strong connections with caregivers in which they can give the children their full attention. The classroom fosters children’s freedom to slow down and fully engage in a beautiful environment filled with open-ended, natural toys that provide age appropriate sensory experiences while building on children’s curiosity, creativity, imagination and problem-solving skills. Plenty of free play both outdoors and in provides the toddler with the perfect stage for whatever their imagination can conjure.
Each day contains many opportunities to build oral and receptive language skills through stories, puppet plays, finger games and songs. These activities allow the child to build their literacy and language skills.
We nurture the “I can do it” spirit of toddlers by allowing plenty of time and opportunities to start learning self-care skills. The confidence that is gained through activities such as putting on shoes and hat gives the child a sense of joy while also working on fine and gross motor skills. Each child has the opportunity to create natural, seasonal crafts throughout the year as well as regular watercolor painting, coloring and drawing which help to develop fine motor skills. The children help to prepare and enjoy a wholesome, organic snack every day. The children thrive in this balanced and caring atmosphere that lays a firm foundation for academic success.
Our Toddler Program is ideal for parents with need for full-year, full-day childcare.
