Twin brothers San and Laz Slomovits, the music duo known as Gemini, will celebrate their 70th (or actually 140th) birthday with a concert at the Ark on Thursday, January 3, at 8 pm. The concert will feature Gemini's songs from their five decades of playing folk music for audiences of all ages. This concert will feature their music for adults and they will be joined by collaborators they have worked with over their career. Among the performers will be San's daughter Emily (Steiner 2013) on vocals and violin, harmonica wizard Peter Madcat Ruth, Emmy award winning pianist and arranger Brian Brill, founder of Wild Swan Theater Sandy Ryder, Library storyteller Laura Pershin Raynor, bassist and Steiner 2013 graduate, Jacob Warren and more.Treat your kids to their favorite babysitter and come celebrate with San and Laz.
