Aftercare Program Assistant 2019-2020
The Aftercare Program Assistant is a key member of the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor (RSSAA) Lower School Aftercare Program. The Assistant works closely with the RSSAA Aftercare Director to provide an exemplary program and maintain a positive environment.

The RSSAA Aftercare Program is open from 3 – 6 pm Monday – Friday except during school holidays or when school is otherwise not in session.

• Work with the Aftercare Director to foster and maintain an environment that honors emotional safety, empathy, honesty and respect
• Work outdoors in most weather conditions
• Escort Grade 1 and Grade 2 Aftercare students to the Aftercare Program from their classrooms
• Help Aftercare Director maintain student sign-in/sign-out log by gathering parent signatures and recording arrival and departure times
• Prepare the daily snack
• Clean up after snack
• Work with the Aftercare Director to clean and maintain the Aftercare space
• Be familiar with and uphold RSSAA safety protocols
• Direct parent questions regarding children’s behavior to the Aftercare Director

Basic First Aid and CPR Training are required. Training will be provided.

Familiarity with the Waldorf curriculum is desirable but not required.

Compliance: All employees must remain in compliance with all RSSAA policies and procedures including, but not limited to, those outlined in the RSSAA Employee Handbook and RSSAA Safety Handbook.
