How to Apply

We are currently accepting applications for all grades, K-12. We encourage interested families to attend one of our Introductory Evenings to learn more about our school and the education we provide.

Please call our Newport campus at
(734) 995-4141 to obtain an information packet and application for grades K-8 and our Pontiac Trail campus at (734) 669-9394 to obtain an information packet and application for grades 9-12.

Tuition Assistance

The Faculty and Board of the Rudolf Steiner School encourage families to consider Waldorf education apart from financial circumstances. Awards of tuition assistance are based on need. Applications are available from both the lower school and high school offices once an enrollment contract has been offered. Tuition assistance applications should be returned with the contract. For parents who would like help filling out the paperwork, our Finance Manager is happy to go over the forms with you.

Lower School Visits

Open Houses
The Sunday Open House is a wonderful opportunity to experience the school to the fullest. You can speak with teachers, alumni and current parents and observe students working on projects. There are refreshments and entertainment, with seasonal crafts for the little ones.

Introductory Evenings:
Wednesdays - 7:30-9:00 pm
11/14/07, 1/16/08, 2/20/08, 3/19/08 and 5/21/08

These evenings, designed for interested adults, include a brief history of Waldorf education and the development of the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor. This is followed by a short introduction to the curriculum given by a faculty member. The remaining portion of the evening is dedicated to answering any questions that people may have.

Morning tours:
Thursdays 8:45-10:30 am
11/15/07, 1/17/08, 2/21/08, 3/20/08, 4/24/08 and 5/22/08


Join the Admissions Director for a tour of the morning classes for Grades K-8. You will have the opportunity to observe the special subjects classes such as handwork, art and woodwork as well as main lesson which is the curriculum presentation by the class teacher for grades one through eight.
